 B.Psych (Hons), M. Psych (Clin)

 Asher is a clinical psychologist who specialises in the assessment and treatment of psychological issues in children and adolescents. Asher completed his Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) in 2005 at Newcastle University and his Master of Psychology (Clinical) in 2007 at the University of Western Sydney. HIs studies involved completing research projects in the areas of impulse-control and male body-image disorders. Asher has worked with children and adolescents in a number of settings but particularly within schools. He currently works out of Central Coast Grammar School as well as the READ Clinic.

Asher chiefly provides psychological services in the following areas for children, adolescents and their families:

  • Assessment of learning disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, autistic spectrum disorders and other forms of psychopathology.
  • Liaising and working with teachers and special education workers and external mental health professionals in providing optimum care for clients.
  • Use of CBT evidence-based therapies such as exposure therapy, cognitive therapy, behaviour modification and relaxation therapies.
  • Neuropsychological report writing.
