With the introduction of the Better Access for Mental Health initiative which commenced on 1st November, 2006, more people are able to access psychological services and obtain a rebate from Medicare.

The ways clients are able to obtain rebates via Medicare are:

  • Enhanced Primary Care (EPC)
  • Better Outcomes for Mental Health (BOMH)
  • Better Access for Menthal Health (BAMH)
  • Bulk billing may also be considered as an option of payment (enquire with reception on arrival or by phone)

A referral from a medical professional is necessary to qualify for a rebate under each of these schemes.
