As parents know all children do not develop at the same rate. Although there is a recommended age for children to start school, some children are ready before this age while others aren't ready until a later time. For this reason many children will benefit from undergoing a school readiness assessment.
School readiness assessments don't just look at the potential academic performance of your child. The assessment will also incorporate social and everyday living skills.
If you are unsure as to whether your child is ready for the academic and social challenges school offers, first consult your preschool teacher. If you are still in doubt contact the Clinic to discuss the possibilities of a school readiness assessment for your child.
