Safety Measures at The READ Clinic

SAFETY MEASURES

To all of our READ Clinic clients. As you know, both your physical and psychological health remains important to all of us at the READ Clinic. To ensure we meet all of the current recommendations for keeping people safe, we have implemented the following safety measures. These will be in place for when you next come into the clinic.

1.OUR WAITING ROOM WILL NOW BE CLIENT FREE.

Please wait in your car, or outside the clinic prior you appointment. Your psychologist will call you on your mobile, or greet you at the door at your scheduled appointment time. If you have arrived with someone, they will need to continue to wait in the car or outside (unless it is a couples or family session, where the Psychologist can bring up to 2 people with them into their room).

2.PLEASE WASH YOUR HANDS UPON ENTERING THE CLINIC.

You will be required to immediately wash your hands with warm water and soap for 20 seconds in our designated bathroom for this purpose. You are also advised to use hand sanitiser as an additional precaution.

3.PLEASE MAINTAIN THE 1.5m RULE.

We are asking everyone, including our staff and clients to remain 1.5m from each other whilst in the clinic, this includes during your clinical sessions.

4.PLEASE CHANGE YOUR APPOINTMENT TO TELEHEALTH IF YOU HAVE ANY FLU-LIKE SIGNS OR SYMPTOMS.

We want to ensure you continue to receive your regular therapy sessions, but not at the risk of the health of others. Please let our administrative team know if you are have flu-like symptoms and you can receive options for your appointment to be transferred to an online platform or phone call (Telehealth).

5.PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU AREN’T PUTTING YOUR HEALTH AT RISK.

Anyone with a chronic ill health, immune-based issues, is over 70 or is pregnant should not be attending the Clinic and be opting for Telehealth. Make sure you let our administration aware if this applies to you and they will assist you in converting to this option.

6.WE ARE NOW CASH FREE.

To reduce contamination risks we will no longer be accepting cash as a payment method. If you are required to pay for your session, we will ask that your credit card is processed automatically through our secure booking system (Halaxy) to reduce the handling of credit cards

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. We hope that you feel safer in our care due to these changes.

Warm Regards,

The READ Clinic TEAM
